During the 60s there were many short-workings on the 115 from Thornton Heath Garage usually to Croydon Airport in peak hours, shown as additional journeys at the bottom of roadside timetables.    On the outward journey from Thornton Heath Garage, the first stop was Thornton Road, with bus leaving the garage via Whitehall Rd and London Road.   On the inbound shorts the bus turned off Thornton Road at Broughton Rd and travelled the length of Whitehall Rd to the garage, which was the disembarking point, but it never had a stop sign.    A variation of this arrangement was used by buses terminating at the garage from other routes, anti-clockwise loop operated via Thornton Rd, Colvin Rd and Whitehall Rd.   This changed in the late 60s or early 70s when entry & exit to the garage was always via London Rd and Whitehall Rd.    Colvin Rd and Whitehall Rd were residential streets.
