SLOANE SQUARE - Lower Sloane Street - Royal Hospital Road - Chelsea Embankment (e/b) - Chelsea Bridge Road - Lower Sloane Street - SLOANE SQUARE ( daily )
From26th November November until mid-March, buses on route 170 towards Battersea are being diverted via Sloane Square and Kings Road, away from the lower section of Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea, due to gas main works on Chelsea Embankment.
Route 570 has been created as a temporary shuttle bus, operating from Sloane Square via Lower Sloane Street, Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea Embankment (eastbound), Chelsea Bridge Road back to Lower Sloane Street and Sloane Square, providing connections with the diverted 170 at Lower Sloane Street.
Buses towards Victoria are not affected and are operating the normal route.

The shuttle service operates at a 20-minute frequency and requires one bus; and on Tuesday 30th January Go-Ahead London General ADL Enviro200 SEN 34 was doing the honours. It is seen in Royal Hospital Road approaching the Chelsea Physic Garden, which is normally closed for the winter but had opened up that week for its annual "Heralding Spring" event - the Garden has a notable collection of winter flowers, including snowdrops. |
