May I suggest a potential amendment to your route 123 (Ongar & Romford) record, a local (ex-) route of mine.

First, the roundabout at the Four Wantz did not exist until the early ‘seventies. Up till then it was a plain crossroads, but earlier configurations were a bit more complex (see attached). A turn around the triangle, later bell mouth, would have been extremely tight, and I even wonder if buses were projected to the Red Cow PH, just over 300 yards distant, to turn (by reversing). 

The Red Cow and Moreton Road I take to be the same place (the pub was right on the junction). The Cripsey Avenue terminus (reverser) is almost exactly 600 yards beyond the Red Cow, down Moreton Road. 

Oddly, destination blinds in later years displayed Chipping Ongar, although both the Red Cow and Cripsey Avenue are actually in Shelley. (As you know, LT was normally quite fastidious about the accuracy of such things).
